If you are seriously considering a home and neighborhood, it should be part of your due diligence to determine whether it is safe.
Here are some ideas you may want to consider to see how safe an area is:
Call the Raleigh Police Department or other area law enforcement They will usually give you the information you need.
Another source to use in addition to the call is the Trulia Crime Map. It can give you an idea of what neighborhoods have had crime problems.
Talk with neighbors.
Is the school for my neighborhood affected by caps?
It’s that time of year again. The school board is discussing where to put all of those new students. Last year 1100 students were affected by enrollment caps. There will be enrollment caps on 15 schools in Wake County for 2016-2017. Six of the schools haven’t been capped before. Caps will be removed from Davis Drive Middle School and Cary Elementary which will be a relief to many of our relocating clients. Here is a link to the article in the Raleigh News and Observer about the plan.
